Personal Information includes information that you voluntarily share with us on the website.

Types of Email Communications

When you signup for the Axle Eight newsletters, e-books and other digital resources, you are opting in to receive basic communications from us on a periodic basis. Examples of the types of emails you may receive are newsletters, promotions, and email designed to gather your feedback on our service.

You may also have opted-in to receiving newsletters from us.

Our newsletters and distribution lists are hosted using a Third Party Service Provider. Take a look at Section 6 below, if you wish to find out which companies and which third parties we use across our Services.

These newsletters allow us to send emails to thousands of subscribers and have access to certain statistics such as how many people are opening our emails and what people are mostly clicking on. They allow us to improve the kind of content we are emailing and help us keep in touch with our subscribers about Axle Eight updates or new releases.

Unsubscribing from Email Communications

You can quickly and easily unsubscribe to any email at any time, using the unsubscribe links included inside the email. You always have the choice of whether you’d like to unsubscribe from some, or all email communication from us. In the case that you wish to subscribe from all email communications, understand that you may still receive transactional emails from us that update you on the status of your subscription or billing details. Upon unsubscribing from any type of email, you will immediately stop receiving those types of emails from us.

If you wish, you can request that we delete your information from our database by emailing info@axleeight.com. We will fulfill this request within 30 days.

Personally Identifiable Information

Third Party Email Providers can store some personally identifiable information, although we try to keep this to a minimum by only asking for your first name and email address. To ensure your safety, we will always ask for you to opt-in to any newsletter communication that you wish to receive.

Upon signing up, we may also ask that you double-opt in to receive communications from us. So that when you first enter your name and email, we’ll send you a message to double-check that you wish to subscribe. This email contains a confirmation link you’ll need to click before we start sending you any emails.

We dislike spam as much as you do and we will never sell-on or share your email address to an advertiser or third party.

Axle Eight uses analytical data to see how people are interacting with our Site and Services. We utilise Third Party Service Providers with this capability to allow us to improve the kind of content and functionality we provide.

We also use analytics to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We serve advertising promoting our site on third party platforms. The analytics shows us when an advert has been successful in leading to a signup or new subscription on our Site or Service. You can review our list of Third Party Service Providers, in section 9.

  • Technical information, including the type of mobile device you use, a unique device identifier mobile network information, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile browser you use or time zone setting;

We have made all reasonable efforts to keep this information up-to-date concerning the third parties we collaborate with. Google – Analytics and Remarketing

Google provides a variety of services to Axle Eight, its Site and Service. We use Google Analytics for users that visit the Site and Service to understand where they came from and track important metrics like site visits, time on site, and conversion sources. We have enabled data sharing to help improve Google’s products and services. The data sharing setting will also apply to authenticated visitation data collected by Google signals which is associated with Google user accounts. We use remarketing services from Google to show ads that promote our Service to visitors that have come to our Site. In total, we utilize the following services from Google:

Hotjar

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize our Site and Service’s experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback.

We use Facebook Analytics to record events and understand how users are utilising our site. Third party analytics companies like Facebook, receive information from our Service and Site via a pixel that helps to provide measurement services and they reserve the right to utilise the information for ad targeting. Facebook Pixel and Advertising

The Facebook pixel is integrated into our website’s code. This helps us ensure that the Facebook ads we initiate are displayed to Facebook users who have shown interest in our Services. In this way we know that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the respective user. It also allows us to track the actions of Facebook users after they have viewed or clicked on one of our Facebook ads. At the same time, it helps us track the conversion of the respective campaign for statistical, market-research and billing purposes. The following information is collected during its

Facebook Lookalike Audiences
